What gets deleted
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your profile photo and bio
- Your messages and conversations
- Your reviews and saved spaces
- Your space listings and their photos
- Your identity documents and verification selfie
What we have to keep, and why
These records are stripped of anything that identifies you.
- Transaction records
- Nigerian tax and accounting law requires us to keep them. Your bank details are erased from them, so they no longer identify you.
- Identity-verification records
- Anti-money-laundering rules require a five-year retention period. The documents themselves are destroyed automatically once it elapses.
- The verification decision log
- This log cannot be altered or deleted by anyone, including us. That is deliberate. It is what makes verification decisions auditable.
Request deletion
Enter the email address on the account. We will email you to confirm the request, verify that it is really yours, and complete the deletion within 30 days.
